: So, those of you who thought you were safe from Miss Marcia's DownHome cookin', or Sassy's Sassy Sooths, be forewarned! It ain't so!
: Geeeeesh! I DO love my Roadrunner High-Speed cable connection, but when it's down, well...the world goes to hell in a handbasket! We took a direct hit, apparently, from lightening during a severe thunderstorm last Wednesday night. Power was out for hours, but was the first thing to come back. Phones were down for more than 2 days. Garage door opener: FRIED. Cable to tv: FRIED. Modem for RoadRunner: FRIED. Indoor/Outdoor Thermometer: FRIED. My nerves: FRIED!!!! It took RoadRunner FIVE STEENKING LOUSY ROTTEN PINKO COMMIE DAYS to show up and fix my cable!! Now being without tv for five days is just an annoyance. Being without my connection to the Internet for five days means I'm outta business!! And what does Time Warner do? Whine that they aren't responsible for acts of nature! (NO, it's not YOUR fault that lightening struck my house, but it IS your fault that you can't get a repairman out here for FIVE days, you scum-sucking pigs!!) Then the repairman shows up with only HALF the tools he needs for the job, because he wasn't told it was anything more than my TV that was affected. (And why is THAT, TWC, when I specifically told you THREE different times that my ROADRUNNER SERVICE was out as well, and would there need to be two different men sent, or could one repairman deal with it all!) Tell me this...how can a company named Time-Warner COMMUNICATIONS be so poorly equipped for COMMUNICATING? Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
: There. Now Miss Marcia feels allllllll better, thanks. Nothing like venting, is there? ;o)
: Anyway, when I was at last able to log on today, I discovered 115 emails awaiting my immediate attention. (I'm not making that up!) And most of them are business matters that must be taken care of right away. So to those of you that I owe personal emails to, please be patient another day or so. I WILL get back to you, I promise.
: Let's see...when I left, we were discussing The Patriot (its merits or lack thereof); the current Thought For the Day; Doc Mary & her Hulking Horons; Gnomes: Love 'em or Hate 'em...Just Don't Ignore Them; and the ever-lively Loincloth Lessons, or How To Peek and Not Get Caught. And after scanning the topics of recent days, I see it's a case of "the more things change, the more they stay the same." Business as usual in Mohicanland.
: Ahhhhhhhhhhhh...*sigh*.....it's good to be back!
: MMMMarcia
Good to have you back, MMMMarcia, sarTAIN! Glad you didn't see my post making fun of the way DDL runs. Whew! That was close! I thought I was in for a good keyboard lashing.
