To all who care to read, I just thought I would share what a neat day I have had. I went to watch 23,000 runners in the
Bix 7 Run. Now for those who might not know of this. It is a run of 7 miles through the streets of Davenport Iowa. There is a web site on this if anyone is interested. What I found neat about it is to see the excitement and anticipation on everyones faces as they go up a 45 degree hill for the first mile. They
have runners from all over the world participate. It is always such a neat experience to me. I have been going to this for the past 10 years. Of course being the nurse that I am I usually work in the Medical tent. Also they allow amateurs to participate. Now after my treck around Chimney Rock park maybe I should have done the race. But maybe next year, this is what I say every year. The other thing that is thrilling is to see the faces of the runners when they have completed the race, and the sense of accomplishment you can see on all of there faces.
