Hello all, I thought it would be a lark to prepare some colonial style food for my students this year. In the past I have provided them with fare from the Colonial army's winter at valley forge(firecakes-flour and water cooked over a fire) as well as other military rations (dried salt beef, zwieback biscuts etc.) but would like to provide them with typical fare of the civilian during the time, delicacies, as well as regular everyday food. But one question persists:
What did they bloody eat?
Any known websites on the subjects or recipies etc would be greatly appreciated
