: : Dear Seamus,
: : I replied to your cyberpigeon dispatch with a pigeon of my own; I am sorry yesterday's pigeon was caught en route by Doc M and kept as a 'familiar', well, it was a cute white peace pigeon and we all know what a 'peace lover' our Doc M is!!!!
: : Currently, am awaiting a phone call from my hubby's web designer friend so that I can ask him why on earth is this dynamic html thing not working!!!! I mean, here I am, big screen, on one side I got tutorial open,
: : oh, by the way, the web design person of this huuuuuuge company just called, my hubby's friend, and guess what he said????
: : Oh yes, I had a problem like this once, too, let me go to my computer and open up the program then I will call you back!
: : man, phheeeeewwwww! what a reliieeeeeeefff!
: : I am not SUCH A BIG DUMMY AFTER ALL!!!!!!!

:
: I understand, my dear new friend, and to avoid such happenstance in my own bailiwick, I am grabbing my pack, blanket roll, and trusty longrifle and am heading back to the woods poste haste! Civilization and I have had enough of each other for awhile. I have placed a new bottle of port for Major Rogers and a bottle dark rum for myself in my pack, and am going to meet Timothy and Pvt. Chauncey somewhere along Lake George.
: I will send dispatches from time to time to keep all in Mohicanland informed as to how this war progresses. My only hope is that we are not placed in another Ticonderoga. Since Namby-pambercrombie has been replaced by General Amherst, the situation in the army should be resolved. I am rested and ready for adventure!! Cousins Malcolm and Davey, and my friends of the 77th Highlanders, are on their way to Ligonier, and we must finish our term of service with Major Rogers and get back to Pennsylvania in time to join them and General Forbes. I understand Capt. Croy is not too pleased that Flags and Tales have taken off to visit their women...but that I understand, too. My heart longs for Nancy, the dark haired lass, and I am sure Timothy worries greatly about Gloria. She will soon bear their child, and we hope to be there for that.
: Now that I have donned my breech clout, brain-tanned leggings, heavy linen hunting shirt, moccasins, my old familiar floppy wide-brimmed hat with the musket ball hole in it...and smell like a thousand campfires.....I cannot describe the feel....it is just "right!" So...it's off to the woods for me!
: ...and we WILL share that port someday!
: Pax Aye!!
: Seamus
dear Seamus,
Firstly, did my cyber pigeon find you or shall we take Doc M to task?
And I am certainly worried and fretting about your wide-brimmed hat with the musket ball hole in it... won't that hole let in rain into your brains?
And as for smelling like a thousand campfires... me thinks this is a good thing, fer fires is known to cleanse a thousand mites and mice and other sweet little companions to campfire travlers...
Dear Seamus, do take care of yourself and I'd say take The Sunday New York Times, roll it up like so, and place it atop your skull, between the scalp and the bullet hole...
May Angels Watch Over You!
