: I know there have been lots of posts on the possibility or subject matter of a sequel to Last of the Mohicans, but I was wondering if anyone had actually written one.  

: I don't mean a screenplay to be submitted to a movie studio or even one written by Cooper himself (because I know one already exists)...I mean stories written by fans of the movie about the characters in the movie doing whatever the fans want them to do.  

: Fanfiction.  Probably some of you have heard about it already, but it's quite a widespread thing in internet culture.  i.e. Star Wars fans write stories about Luke Skywalker or Han and Leia.  Star Trek fans write about Capt. Kirk.  Heck, I've even found a page of fanfiction dedicated to the characters in Jane Austen's novels.  

: So here is a good sized fandom dedicated to Last of the Mohicans.  Couldn't we write stories too?
