I thought you might be interested in this little article that appeared in today's Daily Telegraph:

No Show for Garden Gnomes

The Royal Horticultural Society has banned garden
gnomes from this month's flower show at Tatton Park,
Cheshire, on the grounds that they are "too tacky".

The 500 exhibitors have been warned that any
gnomes smuggled in will be confiscated. Ann Aitkin, of
the Gnome Reserve and Wildlife Garde, Devon,
said: "There is room in everyone's garden for a gnome."

Is Doc Mary a member of the Royal Horticultural Society, one wonders??
