Recommended Read for Highland Games Goers

If you like Highland Games and have a sense of humor about what goes on there, by all means read Sharyn McCrumb's Highland Laddie Gone. I met her at a book signing (She wrote a novel about the first white woman hanged in NC) and she admitted to borrowing heavily from Grandfather Mountain Highland Games even though the story is set in a fictional place in Virginia.

Also, the Discovery Channel did the GMHG on one of its "Travelers" episodes, and it also has healthy doses of humor.(Including old kilt jokes)

I hate to think what kind of novel Sharyn would write about Mohican Gatherings, but it would probably be a cliffhanger and absolutely tear your heart out!
