Gosh, Diane! If I'd known you were going to the Games, I would have gone! I opted to stay at home and work because I didn't have anyone to go with and I have already been to two Games this year. We could have met at one of those clan tents! Did anyone get married up there this year? Did you get to see the calling of the Clans Thurs. night? (My favorite event)

Got your note about Ft. Defiance & will respond in email. I love to go down there; congratulations to you for finding it! It's a bit out in the boonies even today. Did you also seek out Tom Dooley (Dula's) grave? My Irish ancestors settled in those mountains you can see from the yard at Ft. Defiance; most of my paternal kin settled in Caldwell County.

I just saw tonight's History Channel "Frontier" episode which was the Battle of King's Mountain. I wondered if any of our reenactor friends were in any of the scenes shown. Anyone know of anyone who did that series?
