: All,
: From the outset, I want to apologize for any comments that I made that seemed intolerant. I felt like buttons were being pushed, but whether they were or not, I don't have to react strongly all the time. I am learning. Slowly. It is hard for somebody who has spent most of his adult life either fully immersed in a totally male warrior society, or working for that same warrior society as a civilian, to not go on the attack.
: It's kinda like I told Elaine, it's tough for an old warrior to NOT always play things out in an "attack! never surrender and never retreat" mentality.....then laughed at myself because of the similarity of that statement to Tim Allens' in his latest movie.
: Look, folks. I get carried away sometimes. We are all products of our own personal history in the way we react to things. However, as Elaine, Marcia and Rich all too well know....I have grown more layed back and tolerant than I used to be. Less reactionary. I have a ways to go yet, and some things I will never change about myself, and some things I dont WANT to change about myself. However, I shall try not to go on the attack when I disagree with something.
: Ilse, Sky....I apologize. We all came together as a family at Gathering, and that was a warm feeling. I dont want to harm that sense of family just because I am an old curmudgeon.
: I dont agree with you on some things, but then as one of our number, and a fondly thought of writer and publisher said....it is the differences which make life interesting.
: However, I don't have to make it QUITE that INTERESTING!

Bill: No apology necessary, just a little delayed ID4 fireworks, added a little life to the board. I spent my day canning 20 quarts of beans, making the first batch of this years pickles, tying up tomatos, grooming and ground working two horses, and fixing dinner for the all male crew here. As I said to you once before, life's too short, move on with a smile. We'll all live longer. And always be on guard for the next volley, you never know what direction it will come from. Pleasant dreams.....NightSky
