Glad your movie party went well! I am trying to get a friend of mine to watch LOTM (Yes, hard to believe there are poor deprived souls out there who haven't experienced this yet), but my friend has a real aversion to any type of violence or gory stuff, so I think I'll have to sit next to her and tell her when to cover her eyes! : Well, the movie party went off swimmingly. They loved it, although at one part of the evening the conversation veered into the "men seem to need to make war..." type conversation (see posts below) and I quickly righted that situation. To my Hawkeye-lovin' chagrin, however, might I add that while Hawk got plenty of appreciative remarks, two of the new initiates are clearly UNCAS fans...
: A film suggestion if any of you need some good warm "us-against-the-fat-cats" comedy -- find and rent an Australian film called "The Castle." (We watched this after LOTM)...It's about a quirky family in Melbourne who fights to have their house saved from developers. Hilarious.
