I was in the middle of a reply to this thread (which was taking a bit longer than it should have but with a VERY much awake baby, it could not be helped) when I went back to reread earlier comments ... now, I can't very well post that before first saying something to this.
Ilse, I'm sorry. I believe you got caught in a crossfire of emotion ... unduly so, unintended, I'm sure. I know you pretty well & know you did indeed take time to write in a non-offensive manner. Thank you ... I also know you as one who appreciates a good debate & discussions involving differing viewpoints. This ought to be one of those discussions.
Bill, I also understand how you read the original posts & why you took issue with certain aspects. I was replying to basically agree with your comments. However, the points of disagreement were not made by Ilse ... She sought to carry the discussion forward & read Nightsky's message differently than you or I did ... regrettably, we are now here.
Please - we've all been here before. If ever we are to use this board for good healthy debate, it must be now.
