Please help!! If you wish to ever be able to go and visit Riverwalk,
: your help is needed. A developer has bought a 2200 acre tract of land in the middle of Dupont
State Forest which contains all of the Riverwalk waterfalls, Bridal Viel, High Falls, and Triple
Falls. If this development is not stoped these falls will never be open to the public for visitiation.
You can help by voicing your opinion to NC state officials who are concidering using the state
powers to acquire this awesome tract of land. Please go to http://www.dupontforest.com to find
out how you can help. You may also contact me for more info on how to help.

If you all could, follow Vita's e-mail with your own. The next 30 days are very important. The
COS members need to hear from you ... (Please cc to Woody.)
So you know; last year, while under Sterling ownership, we were granted permission to visit the
Riverwalk area. Though we had a history on which to be judged this year, & our purpose was
clearly stated, & our visit would have made pretty good PR, the present owner did not grant
permission for the Riverwalk. However - I understand Mr. Anthony has claimed public access
would be granted & has assured the COS the public would continue to have permission to
access such areas as the waterfalls! Ha!
The Friends of the Falls are planning a showing of LOTM in two weeks (in Asheville) as part of
their awareness campaign. If anyone wishes to join in this fight, please contact Woody or JoJo.
