Hi Robert -

The cabin interior shots were done in the cabin interior! : )
And, yes, like the fort, it was really burned! In fact, the only structure(s) built specifically for the movie that WEREN'T burned were the Huron lodges. Too bad! (That is, that the other buildings WERE!)
