: : I've been scanning the archives of this site and I've noticed that quite frequently people mention the various "mistakes" that made it into the film--i.e. the blue cap, the megaphone, the buses, etc. I have seen this movie a million times (as have all of you), yet I have never seen these errors. Will someone please tell me when and where they occur--because, as far as I can tell, the movie is perfect.
: : Thanks, Colleen
: As far as I can tell, even after careful scrutiny for all these years, it's pretty NEAR perfect!
: The bloopers are there, though. They're kind of hard to notice at normal speed if you're not aware that they're there. The Blue Cap Blooper, for example, wasn't noticed by me until I was watching the scene - frame by frame - with an extra who was trying to show me where he was. We couldn't believe our eyes when the baseball cap & megaphone appeared!
: Anyway, Go to The Mohican Musings Menu Page. Some of the main bloopers are pointed out there.

I remember reading somewhere (I think on the Internet Movie Database, which includes Bloopers on movies) that the blue cap and megaphone are only visible in the THX version. And by the way, you can see the owner of the blue cap again in the THX Featurette, legitimately, standing next to Mann. My favorite inexcusable blooper is the one where Hawkeye shoots an Indian while he's charging up the hill (after Uncas' death), the Indian falls backwards on the rock and the rifle falls to the ground, and then the next shot is of Hawkeye racing past the fallen Indian and grabbing the rifle which has miraculously raised itself from the ground to a convenient place on the rock. They should have reshot the Indian's death, really.
Cheers,
