Dear friends and fellow traders,
Having succesfully negotiated our deals here in the Lowlands, I am on my way back. Things went almost turned into disaster, because of the rising waters due to the stormy weather lately. Yes, friends, if the sea-wall doesn't hold, the south part of the country might be renamed "Atlantis" soon. Luckily I never visit the homeland without my inflatable boat, so I made a narrow escape. Wise words of the day: Never visit a country that is 10 meters below sea level without your inflatable boat. To be bought from your Mohican Trading Post at a ridiculous price!
What's this tea trade business? Hey Frenchie, don't you know that only the Dutch have been permitted to do business with the Chinese? You would not be pretending to be me, huh? Hehe, don't worry, I'll keep your secrets if you keep mine. Only the English drink something like tea anyway; being on an island keeps you ignorant. They even put milk in it! In about 50 years they will have caught up with the dynamic coffee culture of the rest of the world.
Canadien friend: I have the Delftware you requested. Do we have a deal? And yes, you are ever so right; we must have a public auction for that special item you have tomorrow. A fine looking animal, I must say. If it could fly, I would buy it. Alas.
E. Lane, I hear your negotiations with Goat Foot are going well? Are there valuable items to obtain? Are they willing to sell She-who tracks to us?
Soon,
DT
