: Except for the final scene and Ching.'s speach, does he speak English anywhere else in the film? Is he supposed to understand English? Throughout the film Hawkeye speaks to him in Mohican, they discussed strategy "behind the falls" in Mohican.

Just another detail that popped into my mind, as I continue to love LOTM & DDL.
