At last, my respected rival!

Your continued absence had me worried. Please inform your wife of my sincere apologies for that regrettable mix-up. Apparently one of my couriers has gone completely loco and I will have the fool beaten from this board, fort I mean.

Now, contrary to popular belief, I am not at all an unreasonable psycho. Joining our forces would surely open up a wide new and challenging array of possibilities, especially with your present location. Maybe, we can discuss this over a good glass of Courvoisier a bit later on in the week?

In the meantime, however, I am sure you will, by now, be aware that there are secret and compelling reasons to keep this "war" alive in the public eye for a while. Your discretion in this matter will be highly appreciated.

As for the annoying Gamut-type, nothing would suit me better than him owning a wife... any wife! Alas, the poor fellow has so little to offer, I do not think it is a likely possibility.
