Well now I've heard everything! The Dutchie has lost it; sent an emissary to give her message, smashed the rare Delft Blue tea set, booby trapped the trading post , enlisted the cut-throat three Little Piggies, called in that other forest lurker R. Hood, and shut down her business!
Wow! Are you going to let a little old French Trader get to you like that?
Now, DT, think on this. In your despair and anger, you accuse myself and Rich Fed of being agitators who don't even practice fair trade .... Well, fair trade is whoever got the wampum, gets the goods! You could have the prize but you were too busy sneaking around the woud waiting for evil lurking Frenchies. And what makes you think the wampum sash and choker were illegally confiscated?
Haven't you heard Concerned Citizen in Can-Tuck-ee's eyewitness account of Hawkeye slushing and engaging in illegal activities with the French?
So he hocked his (and adopted daddy's) wampum? Big deal. He needed silver, I suppose. That Rum ain't cheap at the unnnamed watering hole. So now you know how it was that the French Trader came by the goods. He had them. Needed a buyer. You wouldn't parley or negotiate.
Ah! So it fell to us.
If I were you, Dutchie merchant, I'd get off my high trading horse and strike a deal. Unless you think you can beat the Frenchie at his own game .....

PS Are you still interested in those stolen French furs, scalps, illegal tea, and smuggled Madiera we discussed?
