: : : Means weapon (who kept it after the production), but who did Uncas fusil? Vern Crowfoot supplied many of the indian weapons used in the film from his Orlando Fla Studio rental.  I am the fortunate owner of one of the "shooting" guns used in the film (a Northwest trade gun with a cross of Lorraine tacked into the stock)

: : I am not sure who made Uncas` musket but I do know it is a "Fusil de Chasse" just like the one Russell used in the movie. I have a Centermark that I use regularly and I can spot them a mile away. They are ( the de Chasse),in my opinion, the best all around musket.
