: Oh yes,  actually I prefer it... we can lay back, pull the cover up to our chin, snuggle our toes and venture back and *experience* the period, the place, the love...

: the reality check is that times were extremely hard back then, people died, survival was imperative... I guess thats part of the attraction to LOTM... that against all odds love could still be "visible" in the direst of times.
