Diane asks:
: How do you all like to "experience" our favorite film? For those of you with spouses who are also hooked, do you watch together,

Yes...

: or are you like me, and you must have complete silence and concentration...

Yes...

: For me, I love to watch under my covers in my bed room...late a night

Yes...

: I too have the widescreen version with the THX sound, and it is great when you play it LOUD!

Yes...

: I could not imagine watching LOTM with someone else..god forbid they should speak, and I miss one of my favorite parts...

and Yes! Here's the deal, Diane...I've watched LOTM with my husband dozens of times, with much discussion on what was happening in each scene. I've watched it by myself dozens of times, straight through, without a word being spoken or my eyes ever leaving the screen. I've watched it frame by frame and in slow motion. I've watched it backing it up and playing the best parts again and again. I've watched it with friends. I've watched it with family. I'd watch it with total strangers, if I could get 'em to sit down with me. I've watched it with the surround sound cranked up so loud that my cat dives for cover during the waterfall scene, certain he's going to get wet. I've watched it late at night, with the sound almost off, so as not to awaken Mark in the small hours of the morning. I've watched it in the theater surrounded by both fellow Mohican Maniacs & total strangers. I've watched it on network tv, on cable, on video and on laser disc...I've even watched it UPSIDE DOWN & BACKWARDS! And every single one of those ways of watching it has been perfect to me. I just don't think there is a bad way to watch Last of the Mohicans...though all things considered, I think I like it better right side up and forwards! ;o)
