: : For me, I love to watch under my covers in my bed room...late a night when my young children are sound asleep.  I wear my Sony remote earphones headset, so I can hear every word...and I can turn the sound WAY UP, and not chase my husband from the house.  I too have the widescreen version with the THX sound, and it is great when you play it LOUD!

: : I could not imagine watching LOTM with someone else..god forbid they should speak, and I miss one of my favorite parts...

: I blast the sound too but I seem to be unable to watch it straight through now; I stop it and back up slowly and go forward slowly and stop and stare and inch forward and stare some more!  I guess my perfect experience is frame by frame.
