Not me, that's for sure. I may wince, gasp, groan or even cry during the violent scenes, but I have never, ONCE closed my eyes. I suffer right along with everyone being attacked, in this, and any other movie I've ever watched. And I've watched many MUCH more violent than LOTM, though, generally speaking, violent movies aren't my favorites.

And yes, Alice witnessed the carnage up close, and yes, that's why she was shell-shocked. No one ever said she didn't have a REASON for her vacant state. And no one has ever said she was a BAD person for being unable to handle it. Just a young girl paralyzed with fear and shock.
