: : : : The most fascinating change to me is in the cave scene, after Uncas grabs Alice away from the waterfall. According to the script, a confusing chain of looks, action & reactions was planned to occur between them. The interaction the director originally described seems to be a rebuff by  Alice of Uncas' affectionate advances...(who's going to believe that anyway, right Katherine?:o)

: : : I'm am so glad they left the mutual affection (I know that some people may not agree) subtle so that lots of the intense silent emotion between them can be left to the imagination. Though I Believe The Intense Emotion Was There.
