: Whoops...sorry, Ann...there is NO tourist path at all where the final scene was filmed. Take it from one who crawled, clawed, scrambled, slipped, slid, and was pushed to the top of that particular location. The spot where our trio gathers to pay a final tribute to Uncas was not filmed on the trail at Chimney Rock. I figure they must have lowered Madeleine Stowe in there via helecopter, cuz I know she wouldn't have gone through what *I* did to get there! (Please stop by my site & take a look at the pictures from this past Gathering, and you'll see scenes near the top of Table Rock, where this took place:

MMMMarcia, your slates are mmmmarvelous!!...enjoyed your LOTM page as well....wonderful photos....I noticed you chose those of DDL at his hunkiest:o).....my 7 yr old niece was watching as your "blessed are purr of heart" kitty slate was coming in and she said to tell you that's her favorite(since she has her own feline named Nala).

Re the tourist path NOT -- I just assumed the final scene was filmed where Uncas died.
