OK, I SURRENDER! However, as I pointed out to my favorite MMMM in an E-Mail, "sudden-like" being a Southern expression has nothing to do with Hawkeye. He was raised by Mohicans in New York, and taught formal English by the very-YANKEE Rev. Wheelock in Connecticut.
