: : Lets face it people! Magua was the one hard done by here! And - the others wouldnt have looked like such saints if he hadn't been Plus, no offence, but I think that DDL looked quite wimpish by comparison. Hence, the final match HAD to be between Chingachook and Wes!
:
: : Wolfie.
: Yes, Wolfie. The actor who played Magua did a stupendous job....evil personified!!..However, he managed to gain my sympathy after hearing his life story. Earlier someone compared Magua's bitter reaction to the tragedy he experienced at the hands of the English(& other native tribes) to the more long-suffering, turn-the-other-cheek attitude of Ching...(sp?).
: Nonetheless, I wonder how many of us would have had the "saintly" attitude of the Mohican rather than the revengeful one of Magua??
I agree that not many of us would have had that saintly attitude.
You notice that Chingachook didn't have such a saintly attitude after his son was killed. Why should we expect Magua to be any different?
: Before LOTM, I'd never seen or heard of the actor who played Magua. Can you give me titles of his other performances?
Wes Studi's most recent movies are Deep Rising and Wind River.
I haven't seen either one of them yet.He is also in Geronimo-
An American Legend,Heat,The Killing Jar(I didn't like this movie),and Crazy Horse. There are probably some more, but I just can't think of them right now.
: As far as making DDL look wimpy......come on now, you really don't expect us to think a guy who stays on at a frontier fort being bombarded, with little hope of survival, because his reason for staying......"is right here"(sigh:o)...as wimpy, do you?.....ann(maybe only a woman would understand:-D)
I don't think that any of us really think that DDL or Eric are
wimps, but if I had my choice of the three,it would be Wes every time.
