From the above list, Mary, I'd say that Mel has the best chance. Problem is, though, he'd have to wear 3" heels(at least):o)

Ever seen Gary Cooper in "Friendly Persuasion?"......wow, even all these years later--to me it's magical.

You're right--where are the Gary Cooper-types in America today?? Maybe Clint Eastwood a few years ago would have done the role justice. Of course, if we have to trade in the frontiersman qualities for some sensitivity, I'd rather make the trade....ann
