Hey!! Watch out, now!! You're talking about the wimpy nerd of my dreams, here!!

Seriously, I never considered Newland Archer to be a wimpy nerd at all (unlike Daniel's Cecil Vyse in Room With a View...the Nerdiest of Nerds!). Newland was a tortured man trapped in a dilemma his upbringing would not let him escape...then just when he's ready to throw his entire life to the winds & head to Europe, sneaky little Mae fixes his goose but good by announcing they're having a baby. Poor man is doomed from that day forth, knowing he must lead the life that was laid out for him, no matter what. And I know I'm not the only one who thought he was shockingly handsome as the aristocratic Newland, as I have reviews galore saying the same thing.

But I WILL agree that Hawkeye is definitely the hunkiest thing he's ever done. It's just that he is a chameleon when it comes to taking on the various personas of his characters. Such an unbelievable actor!
