: : : Thanks for trying to clear it up for me, but I'm still confused!!!  I watched the dang thing 6 times last week on TV and that scene still gets to me.  It APPEARS that Duncan is already in the canoe rowing away-by himself.  I didn't see him running with the group- he wasn't by Cora and Alice, Cora was with Hawkeye and Chingachgook helped Alice up.  Then all these people appear out of nowhere and jump into the canoe with them!  Uncas jumps in-in front of Alice- then he mysteriously is behind her.  My brain hurts from being on LOTM!!

: : What you don't see, been cut laying on the floor in LA, is Hayward, myself and the unknown soldier, standing at the edge of the lake, looking for a way out of this "between a rock and a hard place" and we see the canoes and head for them. This is just after he is shot in the leg, no he didn't trip, yes he was shot in the leg and missed the limp and falls down the bank. There was the edge of the lake and there was where we stood.
