Thanks for trying to clear it up for me, but I'm still confused!!! I watched the dang thing 6 times last week on TV and that scene still gets to me. It APPEARS that Duncan is already in the canoe rowing away-by himself. I didn't see him running with the group- he wasn't by Cora and Alice, Cora was with Hawkeye and Chingachgook helped Alice up. Then all these people appear out of nowhere and jump into the canoe with them! Uncas jumps in-in front of Alice- then he mysteriously is behind her. My brain hurts from being on LOTM!!
