: This site is. I should have known that there would be a site dedicated to LOTM. It's so nice to see that there are others out there that are so totally enamored with this film as I am.

: I'm ready to throw my support to any effort to try and entice Michael Mann to release a director's cut of this movie; though I must first say that I think it is already pretty perfect as is. From begining to end, I think it is just about the most perfectly paced, intense and downright relentless movie I've ever seen, carried along so brillantly by beautiful photography, actors so totally dedicated to the roles, and one of the most beautiful scores I've ever heard in a film.

: I first discovered this movie while studying American History in college. It's release timed perfectly with the section on the French and Indian War and was initially drawn by a review which stated that it really showed the beginings of Colonial disenchantment with England. This was the exact slant that my history professor was giving to the war. Rathe
