I also was much impressed with DDL under the falls BEFORE "I will find you"...as he's arguing in the Delaware tongue with Chingachgook, presumably about the pros and cons of leaving the party there. Lots of emotion. We don't even need to understand the words.
Jodhi May's face just before her jump is absolutely amazing to me.
I love listening to Munro, too! Montcalm's speaking fascinated me also.
Maurice Roeves did a magnificent job, I thought, in every one of his scenes.
I have to add that, visually, the scene where Hawkeye and Jack are arguing with Munro in his quarters to let the colonials go, is gorgeous. I've said this before, but here I go again. Not only was it beautifully played, but the camera and lighting work were superb. It looks just like an old colonial painting of an important meeting, especially when Hawkeye takes that one stride forward -- you've seen what I mean, right?
