: No. Mann wanted to have a flowing look about it. They didn't really dance, they just went around in circles. Go back and watch that scene again. You'll see what I mean.

:: In retrospect,the surrealistic movement of those dancers really keyed that scene in my subconscious, much more effectively than had Cora and Hawkeye simply made contact with dead space or pretty scenery between them.
:: Mann obviously gave a lot of thought to the matter of exactly how he was going to tell this tale, and it paid off handsomely on the screen.
:: Now, tell me -- is this forbidden knowledge going to dampen the emotional impact of that scene the next time we view it?
