What about the crickets in the scene between Magua and Montcalm? ("Magua took the hatchet to color with blood...") You can also hear a chickadee, which makes me think this was filmed at sunrise or sunset since chickadees are not generally night creatures. Of course, it could have been put in later, too. There are also several bluejay cries throughout the movie.
