: : Oh, VERY well put, Ayesha!  Agreed 100%.  I really enjoyed it.  He did a good job.  The guy who played his friend/'brother' drove me a little crazy...but I learned to ignore that.  Eric looked fine (and I do mean *fine*) and stretched a little in his acting.  It was a noble effort on his part...and TNT does at least try hard. 

: : [By the way, WHY did the director insist on making all the Indians pronounce their 'th's as 'd's...to the point of sounding silly?!!  I understand how, back in those days, being new to English, there may have been a natural tendency toward that pronunciation, and perhaps the director was striving for authenticity, but this sounded over-affected.  Can anyone enlighten me?  Elaine?  Rebecca?]

: I could be really wrong; will eventually check my clippings on this; but I thought it was mostly Canadian actors who were in this movie; and that's sort of the way Canadians talk in Eastern Canada with all of the "th's and d's" (...all that was  missing was the "eh" after every statement.)  (at least, that's the way all of my lotm hubby's relatives in Canada talk...)
