No! I'll have to pay more attention! There are a number of nice, subtle touches like that. There's a bird cry (hawk?) near the beginning that I always wish was there when I listen to the soundtrack CD. There's a similar cry as Uncas stands surveying the damage of the Camerons' massacre. Really nice touch, perfects the moment.

During the Elk Hunt, as Uncas and Hawkeye plunge into the little stream (always thought that was a beautiful shot, by the way), the SOUND of their entering the water is - well, perfect! Don't know why such a thing should induce such admiration in me. The little things count......

Anyone want to add to the list of 'admirable feats of sound craftsmanship' they've noticed?
