I'm new here ! and have a question...

Hi all -

I stumbled across this site during a search for some information about the film "Gettysburg".

I am an avid military historian, specifically WWII and the Civil War and the Battle of Gettysburg has always fascinated me. I have toured the battlefield several times.

I noticed that some posters below claim that Ted Turner was actually in the movie ? Where ? Who'd he play ? I realize it was just a cameo, but I missed it and I own the movie and have seen it several times.

Anyway....what sort of site is this ? It seems to be a mix of several different topics. Am I off base here ?

Hope to post more often, this site looks like fun. Anyone out there care to give me a quick "board" background ? Thanks for taking the time.
