: There may be yet another very indirect link between Smoke Signals and LOTM; the director, Chris Eyre, was interviewed by Mick LaSalle, (and  printed in the SF Chronicle on June 28.)  Mr. Eyre states:
: "Hollywood doesn't believe tht in 1998 you can make a movie about Indians that doesn't rely on loincloths and romanticism. ..."
: Surely, he wasn't thinking of LOTM???
