Granted, the very powerful scene did have a somewhat surreal quality to it. But, I must ask - and I have never fired a flintlock - the men who fought & died at the Alamo, a battle fought in the pre-dawn darkness, killed anywhere from 300 to 1800 Mexican soldiers, not to mention the wounded. The handful of defenders, many using outdated flintlocks, had their guns stacked, in much the same fashion Hawkeye did in LOTM. How?
