Yes, the scene at Massacre Valley, alone, does it for me! All that chaotic confusion, death in every corner, Cora is nearly killed, the slo-mo, the music building to a soaring climax as Hawkeye scoops up a fallen Cora and they embrace ... Whew! They just DO it! Uncas & Alice is powerful stuff, if much more subtle, but the passion is not there as it is with the leading duo!
