Another aspect of LOTM I like is the relation between Uncas and Nathaniel - it's too bad it wasn't shown more. Uncas seems especially upset when they discover the Cameron's deaths and Nathaniel puts his hand on his shoulder to console him - the gesture shows a closeness they had.
