Stephanie Ann Gritts, who puts together a really neat & informative little Newsletter called "Amicus Humani Genesis", has run, with our permission, the Eric Schweig interview we did back in February. This is good, as many folks don't have easy access to the Internet. She ran it in its entirety. (issue # AHG.MAY.98) The Newsletter comes out 6 times a year, costs $10 per, and is chock full of all sorts of information, much of it entertainment related, regarding the American Indian. If you're interested, you can contact her at: gritts@jupiter.sjsu.edu - Also, regarding Eric Schweig, it turns out that the young person posting all over the Internet (including this Board) that he "knows" ES, really does! Or at least his parents do. This from Deidre Sam.
Look for a new film starring Wes Studi & Russell Means called "Wind River." It's about the Shoshone chief Washakie (Means). Wes plays Pocotello. Both are real historical figures.
One other thing while I'm here ... The DDL Web Site (linked to from our links page) has had some VERY interesting threads going, based quite a bit on stuff they read here, which you should all check out. In fact, I've received a couple of E-Mails ASKING for input from our "Regulars." I guess that's YOU. Check it out!
Later ...
OH! ... And, regarding the First Native American Music Awards, mentioned elsewhere on this Board, it appears there is a related Web Site. See the link below.
