: : : Marcia,
: : : Just to play the Devil's advocate, that would be the perfect plot for a British murder mystery - - DD-L, the enthusiastic actor and perfect democrat, insists on placing himself in a vulnerable position by setting up his own targets. Of course, thespian jealousy leads to a bullet "accidentally" being discharged as DD-L resets a target. Tom Cruise or Kevin Costner would naturally play the part of the passed over actor (disguised as a water boy) who lusted for the role of Hawkeye and would go to any lengths to get it. Maybe DD-L's agent has an imagination.
: : LOL Gayle! Little bitty Tom Cruise as Hawkeye! Now there's
: : a thought to make your skin crawl. They would have had
: : to find a whole crew of teeny tiny Indians somewhere...maybe
: : those little guys from the Amazon rainforest. And Kevin...
: : stewardess! Pass me an airsick bag!

: Hey, give little bitty Tom a break! Remember, this is only a part for a murderous water boy that I'm talking about here. His height (among other good reasons) would be why he was passed up for the part of Hawkeye, and his reasoning would be "If Hollywood could stand Nelson Eddy on a box or put Jeanette McDonald down in a ditch to get the height right, they could do it for Tommy". (I think some adjustments have been made for Richard Gere, too where necessary) Cruise could play the part of the murderous water boy without even wiping the blank stare off his face. As to Kevin - you don't think he makes a good stewardess?
Oh, he would be brilliant, I'm sure! He was so totally excellent
as a mailman in "Dirtworld," or whatever that thing was.
