Yes, indeed. Read "Lonesome Dove"! As good as the movie, I thought. Actually, with some minor exceptions, the movie IS the book ... almost exactly, even most of the dialogue.

Your suggestion about making a "Lonesome Dove" page is intriguing. I'd LOVE to, along with one on certain historical annihilations, like Little Big Horn & The Alamo. Those kind of things fascinate me! Not enough time in the day, though ... maybe someday we'll put up mini-sites linked to our LOTM thing ... Oh, thanks for that link to the LD Site!
