Hi, Juanita...I don't remember this incident, but you can bet I'll run the movie again & take another look. Anyone else have a thought on this moment?

What an interesting observation. Certainly Uncas had many scenes where our only clues as to what he was thinking came from his intense expressions. And, of course, we can't forget the dramatic exchange between Cora & Hawkeye in the "I'm looking at you, Miss" scene...talk about expressions!! Or Magua's angry glare throughout...guaranteed to give you shivery nightmares! I can see how it would be possible to understand a great deal about this movie without being fluent in English.
