: Although I've never noticed Uncas running by, the explanation you've given makes sense to me. Uncas being the younger, would be a bit more able to fend off attackers in the front than Chingachgook (as spendidly strong and able as he may have been!).

OHHHH!!! LOL!! I love the part where he jumps over the guy rolling down the hill. My sister and I (once again) think this is an extra who just decided to...roll down the hill! And the director just decided to keep it in there cos he didn't want to film the scene again! heh, thats my muse.
