Chris, I wouldn't want to take away anything from Eric. I think he has a lot of potential, and if he was elevated to the hightest paid Native actor in the business, that's fine...but what film did he make after LOM that would have warranted this? I haven't seen Tom & Huck, which he seems to feel pretty good about, but even if he's happy with his performance in it, it didn't make him a huge star, by any means. Nor did Broken Chain, which I did see, and enjoyed. What I was trying to say was that no one has reached "big" star status out of LOM, except DDL, and I think he was headed there, regardless. Now, whether this is because the film itself didn't get the serious consideration it should have, I don't know. Though Eric may have sidelined himself for a bit with personal problems, and lost the momentum he had going for him after LOM. I do hope, though, that he is moving ahead now, and will eventually get to the level of recognition that he deserves. (Note: by "Big Star Status" I am referring strictly to immediate name recognition by most of the movie going public.)
