: Several people have noted that the character of  Alice was fragile and had to be protected through the entire adventure, but did anyone  notice the fact that fragile Alice showed some pluck in another scene way before her jump?  Despite the fact that she asked Duncan at the beginning if he'd seen any red-men yet (in some awe) she didn't hesitate to dive at Uncas when he slapped the horses away only moments after the first attack.
:     Also, some trivia ... in the Cameron cabin, Uncas mentions a five mile field, Joseph Brandt's field.  Isn't this the name of his character in another film? (One which I cannot find!)
