I'm new to this page, and I'm glad I stumbled across it. I absolutely love the novel and I am lukewarm over the film. But, nevertheless, as a huge fan of Uncas, I'm going to guess that the 2 word question he asks as his last line takes place of the fort when he and Hawkeye are about to provide cover for the messenger. Hawkeye is preparing his rifle, and Uncas look at him and asks "That wheat?" To which Hawkeye replies, "No. Silk."
